I’ve always been a PC girl but as a desktop user I can still live the laptop lifestyle with TeamViewer. While I love the large monitor on my desktop, more and more of my work has become cloud-based over the years. I do enjoy the freedom of being mobile and the flexibility while attending out-of-office events. My dilemma was that I still wanted to have access to files housed on my home office PC.

The solution is a software called TeamViewer and it allows me to connect to my desktop PC and work just the same as if I were sitting at my desk. I can communicate with my PC from my laptop and from just about anywhere (as long as there is Internet access). The bonus is that I can leave my basement office and head out to the backyard deck when weather permits. And did I mention that it’s free for personal use? I have to say I’m loving the laptop lifestyle and I’m not sure why I resisted the idea of a laptop for so long.
