Hello! It’s nice to virtually meet you. I’m Jennifer Hazlett, Certified Online Business Manager and founder of Alt Admin Online Business Management. I run my business from my home in Oshawa, Ontario, Canada and I’ve been helping business owners manage and market their companies for over 10 years.
My clients say one of the best things about working with me is that they know once something is my hands, it’s getting done – I don’t wait for things to happen, I put a plan in place and make them happen. Organization, attention to detail, good communication and a desire to help others succeed are the passions that allow me to serve my clients well. It’s who I am and what I love to do.
I’ll also be the first to say that running a business can be hard, even when you love what you do and are really good at it. Maybe you’ve become bogged down with the day-to-day details of running an online business and it’s weighing you down, hampering your growth. But don’t sweat it! I help business owners evolve and grow their businesses by taking a bunch of things off their plate – things that they don’t need to continue to do – like managing the work and the team to get stuff done – which allows them to focus on growing the business in ways that only they can.
Who do I work with? I understand the needs and challenges of a diverse mix of clientele, particularly Coaches and Consultants, and other talented entrepreneurs. In fact, my clients have spanned a variety of industries – from the creatives (catering, self-expressive arts, interior design and landscape design); to coaches (life, business, mental performance and career coaching), and professionals (authors, speakers and sales professionals), to the unique (hang-gliding, bed and breakfast, yoga and distance healing).

I enjoy ongoing long-term working relationships that allow me to really get to know my clients, their businesses, and their specialties in a way that allows me to implement strategies to help their businesses grow and fuel their passion.
I come from a corporate background with experience providing comprehensive support to executive-level staff. My last role before launching my own business was Executive Assistant to the business owners at a magazine distribution company. You might find it interesting to know about my other professional endeavours. Before choosing a corporate career path, I spent 2 years as a licensed hairstylist and I had a part-time gig coaching children, teens and adults as an NCCP Certified figure skating coach.

On a personal note…
Since I spend a lot of time at my desk, I like to start my day with a power walk while listening to a podcast. I also regularly attend yoga and fitness classes. I love camping with my family and gardening in the summer months, and music concerts at small intimate venues at any time of year. And there’s nothing I enjoy more than getting lost in a good book. One of my all-time favorites is “The Power of Patience – How This Old-Fashioned Virtue Can Improve Your Life” by M.J. Ryan.
